Debrecen BSC Roundtable has reached another milestone, since the organisation was selected as a Top 3 finalist in the „Future-proof Education 2021” category of Emerging Europe Awards 2021. Winners – for the first time this year – are selected via a public vote.
Through Debrecen BSC Roundtable, the United Call Centers also actively participates in the life of the University of Debrecen. Our colleagues review materials for English and Hungarian courses, and give lectures, and participate both as trainers and mentors in the Accredited Teacher Training program. Our colleague, Ákos Lőrincz, who is a regular lecturer of Debrecen BSC Roundtable has the following to say:
„The basis of the tender, and our nomination are our mutual activities with the University of Debrecen, where we have been giving successful and popular lectures for more than 3 years now. These include our English, French, and Hungarian Business Services Basics courses, our Accredited Teacher Training programme, and our career orientation events for local students in Debrecen.
These courses and activities raise the attention of students and teachers on the fact that today the BSC sector provides excellent development opportunities and career pathways for the long term. A tangible effect of development is that you can build an international career not only within Hungary, but also within the countryside too.”
As Ákos says, introducing and supporting the industry, and the whole segment in detail is interesting because we are talking about a very young segment, existing only for ten years. And while tens of thousands are working in it, it still needs a lot of explanation to say what we are doing.
„The different trainings help students prepare for the requirements of international workplaces. Even the nomination is an important feedback reinforcing that we are on the right track, and represent significant expertise, and the level of cooperation between the industry professionals, the city, and the university is on an international level.”
Winners of the awards are announced at the Future of Emerging Europe Summit and Awards 2021 on 15 September 2021 in Brussels.
